I'm feeling such a strong need for #2 and #8 they're both beautiful and amazing and

-they're also water
-one's got bright bold complicated markings
-one's huge and puffy

I am a creature of habit do you see my problem

But what I'm really here for in the first place is interaction, so if anyone wants to try for this adoption round with a Shinlai-contacts list that's meatier than 'no friends/loner/dead family' let me know!

If you're doing up a sheet for a Shinlai (any of them!) that's compatible with either of mine, there's a good chance I'll draw them palling around at some point if you win c:

 

Nirasi's water element, Dailan, full grown, friendly and usually filthy from being in the woods all the time

 

Silke's a pup that got nabbed by retired raiders and ended up sticking with them - still got a few art things I need to finish about her, but she'll be one who's more comfortable and savvy with human interaction. No element or alliance yet, still quite wee and kinda rough around the edges till her face heals

Attack on Talin Results!The story so far...
Suddenly the world seemed a much darker place, regardless of the Dailans’ pulling through and preventing the Darkbloods from capturing Talin. Once the evil Shinlai had retreated into the dark forest from whence they came, those remaining were left to assess the damage:  crumbled, burnt buildings, blood plastered to the roads and people, bodies lying lifeless in the streets. Some water Shinlai were anxiously trying everything to put out the rest of the fire while others dove into the wreckage to rescue some of the humans and mewling Shinlai pups. We had won, but had lost so much.
I stood by the corpse of what was once a living, breathing thing. My claws dug into the ground, subconscious rage infecting every thought. It was a feeling that rested beneath an emotion I’d never felt this intensely before, an emotion that never had before accompanied the killing of creature.
