Lurking

I'm back until around for a few more days, but these last couple months of deployment are going to be busy. I'll be here for periods of a few days, and out on a mointaintop for other periods. But I check in here whenever I have access to the computers.

My footer used to be for praising people and the like, but right now I've decided to list the people who've financially stood me up. I paid in full, as it is what I request, and have been since screwed for it. Oh well. S'what I get for having disposable income.

:iconstrype: - Paid in October 2005
:iconredfeatherhusky: (now :iconmoltenglowstick:, er I mean :iconlavacat: ) Paid in February 2006

There are several other people I've been happy to help financially and will by no means hold them to any obligatory gift art.

Otherwise I've been thrilled to have art from :iconbeldolor::icondrak:::iconkata::iconsinn-ryu::iconhellcorpceo: and :iconsilverpoot:
  • Listening to: Clear the Area - Imogen Heap
  • Reading: Pattern Recognition
  • Watching: Felidae
  • Playing: Fable

She is back!

Really, if you aren't aware of her yet, please heed this pimping.

She's so damn cool D: And she's making artses for me and they're....stellar! She's one of those floor-you-with-just-the-initial-sketch people. And then you are continuously floored by each and every subsequent step in the artsing process.

end.

I hate the inform-your-troops system here.

Well, I hate many things about my current situation.

I can't wait to see my Gabriel again.

But I'll have access for a while, no worries to anyone who still pays attention to me sometimes.

Okay, back in Naray.

My company hates the person in charge of us here, so they send all the shitty people out to us on this team. Makes my stay fantastic. And in my defense, while to some, perhaps I am a shitty person, I was one of the original members of this team. They've just continued to yank our awesome people and replace them with narcs and annoyances.

Oi stuff keeps happening.

Anyway, preparing for my new life once I get back. Bought rugs, looking into cars, stuff like that.

I can't wait to have a home. A real home. Not just a house I'm obligated to visit on holidays.

A lot has changed recently, and I'm happier for each and every individual event. It's brought me closer to the people that matter to me. And everyone's so damn supportive.

Finally starting to see clearer.

Short timer's syndrome's kicking in too. Just 5 months, bitchez!

But at least I'm not alone!

You know what being 22 means?!

Besides updating the subscription to this damnable site I haven't even pictorally updated in almost a year-

I'm in the next age group for PT tests! WOO. Makes it easier to pass and do less work.

The Army's awesome.

Not that I've ever failed a PT test, but then again I've never taken one in Afghanistan, either.

Still half a year till some semblance of 'home' manifests itself, but it should certainly be a fine and colorful trek to get there. I'm back in a place where...there just aren't bad guys.

So everyone here turns on each other.

The promotion-to-article 15* ratio is 1:3. That's not good.
*Article 15s are what you get in the Army for being bad.

SO TO SUMMARIZE:

I am now a part of the illustrious corps of Border Defense Operations!

= I pull guard now. And damn little else.
